Somewhere in Romania

Romanian countryside is a combination of forested mountains scattered
with winding strips of farmland. The absence of footpaths and restricted
land encourages free roaming – a delight for adventurous walkers
accustomed to the fenced boundaries of Western Europe.
Fortunately for the people of Maramures, Ceausescu had no interest in
the mountain regions other than hunting bears, and so the villages in
the Carpathians remain as untouched as they were fifty years ago,
blooming with self-sufficient homes.
Below is the full HD version of the documentary “Wild Carpathians” with Prince Charles.
It is well worth watching if you have not seen it already. Just click
on the full screen button on the video in the bottom right hand corner
to watch. The quality if very good.
